Meet the Pediatricians

Dr. Dan Handelsman

Dr. Handelsman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the New York Medical College.

He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, interned at the Babies Hospital of the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and did his residency and chief residency at Montefiore Hospital.  Subsequently, he did a Fellowship in Genetics and Metabolic Disease at the Rose Kennedy Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and has a subspecialty in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Dr. Handelsman may be found in Who’s Who in America, the Best Doctors in New York and the Best Doctors in Westchester County. In addition, he teaches medical students from the New York Medical College and nurse-practioner students from Pace University.

He has been an amateur radio operator since he was 13 years old.  He is a gardener and a “gym rat".

Dr. David Costabile

Dr. Costabile joined Briarcliff Pediatrics in July 2002.  He completed his pediatric training at Children’s Hospital of New York (CHONY) after receiving his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine.  A board certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Costabile also works in the Pediatric ER at CHONY caring for acutely ill children.
 
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Costabile teaches first year medical students from New York Medical College.
 
Dr. Costabile lives in Westchester with his wife and two children. He enjoys swimming, scuba diving, and rooting for the New York Yankees.


Dr. Kristin Roye

Dr. Roye, a board certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, has been with Briarcliff Pediatric Associates since 2003.  After completing her BA from Hamilton College , she earned her M.D. from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine.  Dr. Roye completed her pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of New York (CHONY), part of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University.  Before entering practice, she worked for two years in the level I pediatric emergency department at CHONY as a clinical instructor caring for acutely ill patients.

Currently, Dr. Roye resides in Westchester with her four children, two dogs and husband, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon.  When she is not at work or taking care of her family, she enjoys cooking, gardening, swimming and skiing.


Dr. Margaret Jahn

Dr. Jahn joined Briarcliff Pediatrics in September 2006.  She is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Jahn earned a BS in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University and a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.  Prior to medical school, she worked as a marketing executive in the pharmaceutical industry for 11 years.  She earned her MD from SUNY Downstate School of Medicine and completed her pediatric training at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital of Westchester, part of New York Medical College.

Currently, Dr. Jahn lives in Westchester with her husband and 3 children.  In her spare time she enjoys sailing, gardening and cooking.
